Glare Books delivers in two ways: digital copies are delivered instantly to your in-app Library, while printed books are produced and shipped worldwide from the Kingdom of Bahrain. This policy explains delivery times, costs, tracking, and what happens if something goes wrong. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Digital delivery
Soft copies are delivered the moment your payment is confirmed — no shipping required. You'll find every digital purchase in your Library, where you can read it in the app or download it, subject to any per-title download limit. Dissertations and other digital-only titles are always delivered this way.
Where we ship printed books
We ship hard copies internationally, from Bahrain to most countries. During checkout you can enter your destination and see the shipping option and cost before you pay. If we are unable to ship to your location, we'll let you know and arrange a full refund for that item.
Processing & dispatch times
Printed titles are prepared for dispatch after your order is confirmed. Most orders are processed within 2–5 business days before they are handed to the carrier. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
Shipping rates
A flat international shipping rate applies per order and is shown clearly at checkout before you pay — there are no hidden fees added afterwards. From time to time we may run promotions or adjust rates; the price shown at checkout is always the price you pay.
Estimated delivery times
Once dispatched, international delivery typically takes 7–21 business days, depending on the destination and local postal service. These are estimates, not guarantees — remote regions, customs processing, and peak periods can add time.
Order tracking
Where the carrier supports it, we provide tracking for every shipment so you can follow your order from dispatch to delivery. You'll be able to see shipment updates from your account once the order is on its way.
Customs, duties & taxes
International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by the destination country. These are set by local authorities, are not included in your order total, and are the responsibility of the recipient. Please check your country's rules if you're unsure.
Delays
Occasionally shipments are delayed by customs, carrier backlogs, weather, or events outside our control. We'll help you track down a delayed parcel wherever we can, but we're not able to control carrier timelines once an order has left our facility.
Lost, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, is incorrect, or doesn't arrive within a reasonable time, contact us with your order number and, where relevant, a photo of the item and packaging. We'll investigate and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
Incorrect or undeliverable addresses
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout — we can only ship to the address provided. Parcels returned to us as undeliverable because of an incorrect or incomplete address can be re-sent once the correct details and any additional postage are confirmed.
Returns, refunds & contact
Because printed books are made to order, we handle returns case by case — most often for items that arrive faulty or damaged. Digital purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered, except where a file is faulty or not as described (see our Terms of Service).
